9 Writing Tips For Your Blog Post
Blogs are a great way for anyone to get their ideas or information across to others and a great way for small businesses to do some free advertising.
Creating a great blog in an excellent way to drive more traffic to your site. When building your site there are certain writing tips you would need to pay attention to when you are writing your blog.
1. Write
When you are writing your blog write it with your readers in mind. When a reader is looking for information that may pertain to what you are saying, they would want the information in a way that they can both read and understand easily.
2. Value
People lead busy lives, and no one have the time to read boring content. If you cannot think of anything to talk about, then try to do interviews, or even review books or articles. Anything would do, as long as you are not posting useless content.
3. Proofread
It is important that you proofread your content before you hit the publish button. Be considerate of your readers and keep your site/blog free of errors.
4. Short & Simple
Keep your blog post as short as possible, most readers are scanners. You will need to make your point quickly otherwise you can risk losing your readers completely.
5. Interesting
When writing your post, do it as though you are talking to your friend or family member. The more interesting your posts are, the more they would want to read. Make it like you are talking directly to them and only them. Be sure to make your point right away.
6. Links
Use links as often as you can. This will help you create credibility and help establish you as an expert on the subject. You can also create a network by linking to other similar blogs. Other bloggers will thank you.
7. Use of keywords
Use keywords as often as you can, this will allow you to stay on topic and the search engines will love you for it. The more keywords you use the higher your rankings on the search engines your blog will appear.
8. Clear understanding
You need to write your blog post in a way that the average person can understand. Do not try to put in more than one subject in a sentence, this will confuse your audience, and make good use of commas.
9. Subject line
Make sure your subject line is easy to understand and should have keywords relating to your blog in it.
