There are many reasons why many businesses fail. Here is 4 reasons to consider. 

1. No Marketing. 

2. Poor customer service. 

3. No Need. 

4. The wrong people. 

So, what makes a good business owner? What are the qualities of successful business owner?

What is the key factor that any business cannot, strive without that fuel growth?

Back to my question. It's YOU, the owner or the queen of your domain. You can take your business to the moon or it can hit rock bottom. So, you must have certain qualities that help build a business to success. Being passionate about what you do. Showing appreciation to people you do business with, your customers.

1. Be Confident

Being confident and believing in yourself and your own abilities. It can help you to take your business to the next level despite any challenges. It also helps you to identify your short comings and it gives you the strength to overcome it. You truly become confident when you embrace your skillsets and areas that you need to improve.

Having confidence your employees, clients or business owners tend to believe in you and you will gain respect from them. This also help your employees to be confident and achieving goals becomes easier for you and your staff.

2. Be Persistent

Running a business is not a walk in the park. You will have challenges while running your business. Situations takes different forms, such project timelines or losing financing from a lender. But being a persistent owner, you will keep pushing through these hurdles and you will find a way. Or sometimes it means going in a different direction.

3. Be Goal Oriented

Setting goals is important in running a business. What does it means to be goal oriented as a business owner? Being goal-oriented is being focused on attaining a specific goal or a task to accomplish. Here are 5 ways to keep yourself on track.

1. Practice planning. Sit down and write down every task that needs to be done to meet the goals.

2. Manage your time. To manage your time you need to know how long it would take to complete your tasks.

3. Track your progress. Review your progress and evaluate if you on track, and decide whether you need to make a change. 

4. Keep yourself accountable. If you have trouble keep yourself accountable, then consider getting a buddy who is willing to keep you on track by checking in everyday.

5. Please stay positive. Meeting your goals can be difficult at times, but staying positive can make the journey a little easier. Give yourself positive affirmations such as "I got this" or " I can do this".

4. Be Personable

Being a likeable leader makes it much easier for employees to feel comfortable with you. It means having a friendly personality and have a positive attitude towards different things, this will help with stressful situations. 

How can you be more personable?

1. Listen

2. Use good eye contact

3. Use people's names

4. Stay positive

5. Help others and ask for help
