For people to buy from you, your brand needs to be clear, attractive, exciting and powerful. Once you are positive about your brand, it makes it easy to you to talk to people about what you do. It makes it much easier to do your marketing when you have it clear in your mind what it is you are selling in the first place.


Here are 5 useful tips that will help, find your business brand.

  1. Your brand is the center of what you do. People buying decisions are based on emotions. So, what emotions do your business inspire in you and your customers?
  2. Think how you would present your business, not just your website but what people are thinking or saying about you on their phone, reading emails. Your marketing should be consistent saying what you want it to say. People should not be confuse about your message about your business, it should be clear from the start.
  3. Try thinking like your potential customers, try to get inside their head and see how your product or service will help them. How their experience will make them feel.
  4. How do it make you stand out from your competitors. Your brand should be different from everyone else, it is not enough to be just the same as other but better.
  5. What are your abilities, do you know your greatest strengths?  Choose an unbiased person who knows you and who are willing to help you decide what your top attributes are, your brand should be based around your unique strength and abilities.
Creating a strong memorable, compelling and meaningful brand is essential for successful marketing and something that requires a great deal of thought and help from an unbiased person.

Personal Branding

Branding isn't just for businesses. You can build your own personal brand, A personal brand is another way to build your presence so that other people can see your skills and abilities. If you are looking to advance in your career, personal branding is definitely the way to go.

If your goal is to advance in your advance in your career, the best thing to do is to find what you are great at. It should connect with something you are already doing and love. Do your research and apply what you learn, combine new things you've learned with things you are already know to add to your job description to increase your chances in advancing.

Your social media profile should always be professional. Having your personal life on display, negative talking about your company bosses or fellow employees will not help your career if you want to advance to an executive position. Be aware of what you say on social media. Make sure that there is nothing questionable, any embarrassing images, angry social media updates that could inhibit your professional career.

Building your personal brand, is just like building a company brand, and it's not something that happens over night or on a weekend. Have a personal website (online resume), make sure it's simple and easy to read, include a head-shot, title, a link to your company and your social links as well.

It is also a great opportunity to have your own personal blog. Make sure to talk with other people that are in your industry, post to social media often for e.g. (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) professionally to get noticed. Participate in community network events in your local area. Visit sites like Meetup or Event Brite for events.

If you consider these steps above, you may well be on your way to creating an exciting, memorable and powerful brand.
